The UK Cheerleaders, like the basketball program, have a history of stellar performance. No other school's squad comes close to matching the UK record at the Universal Cheerleaders Association National Championships.
The squad was the first ever to win back-to-back titles and also the first squad ever to win three Universal Cheerleaders Association national championship As of 2006, the squad has garnered 15 championship trophies (1985, 1987, 1988, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006). They're the only squad to win back-to-back victories twice, and the only squad to win 3-or-more consecutive championships - with a record setting 8 in a row. |
